Power Washing Vinyl Siding

Dirt, grime and mildew can collect on your home’s vinyl siding and if not cleaned, can cause costly repairs, renovations or replacements. These contaminates are removable without using excessive water pressure, which can cause damage, by using contractor grade cleaners. We apply a hot wax after our house wash mix to keep your home clean longer. We can also remove irrigation rust stains using low pressure.

Gutter Cleaning

Gutter interiors should be cleaned out in the spring and again in fall, to keep them from getting clogged and causing drainage problems. We will clean out all of your gutters, including down spouts, and take the compost with us. Gutter exteriors are included in the price of a house wash (see “vinyl siding”). The black streaks, or haze that form on your exterior gutters are from pollution. There is no way to prevent these black streaks from forming, but you can slow the process down by keeping your gutters clean. These streaks are very difficult to remove, and the chemicals required to remove them successfully are not available to the general public. Fortunately, a regular cleaning by Power Washing Plus will remove them. However, if you have ignored your gutters so long they are already a consistent shade of gray – be aware that your first cleaning may require tedious and expensive hand scrubbing to look new again.

Low Pressure Roof Washing

Black or dark streaks on asphalt shingles is known as roof algae. It will only get worse if not taken care of. Algae likes to thrive on the north side of roof where the proper amount of shade is present. It feeds on the crushed limestone that is used in asphalt shingles. Rain spreads the algae down the roof causing unsightly black streaks. Eventually, the algae will take over the entire roof. We can kill and remove the algae, using contractor grade cleaners and low pressure, making your roof look new again.

Brick also collects dirt, mold, and mildew and must be cleaned. There are many types of brick; some brick cannot withstand as much pressure as others can. We can adjust the pressure to meet these needs. We recommend utilizing our special sealing solutions to protect these surfaces from wind, rain, chipping, and cracking. If brick walls are left untreated and only cleaned wind driven rain may enter your home creating water damage and mold.

Cleaning Decks, Wood Restoration, and Pressure Washing

Wood restoration is, probably, the most misunderstood process. Wood is soft and can be easily damaged with too much water pressure. A lot of factors determine what deck cleaner we will use to restore the wood. Once we choose the correct cleaners, we wash the wood with the right amount of pressure. We then do a neutralizing process to prepare the wood to be sealed. The number one reason a sealer fails is because the wood is not prepared properly. After the wood dries to the proper moisture level, we then apply a contractor grade sealer.
